The event, which features well-known writers who in their novels tell of food and famous chefs who enhance it in their recipes and often in successful books, was born in 2013 from a project conceived and shared by Terme Montecatini S.p.A. and Municipality of Montecatini together with Agra Editrice, enjoying a growing success from edition to edition thanks to the participation of chefs and authors of national and international fame. The added value of the event that perfectly combines the two elements like food-culture is the location: the Terme Tettuccio, the most sumptuous of the city’s spas.

Since 2015, the Festival has also hosted the national preview presentation of “Slow Wine”, the prestigious Slow Food guide dedicated to wine and thanks to the validity of the proposed program and the importance of the organizers, Food & Book has become one of the most awaited and undisputed events of the calendar of cultural events in the city. The event that covers the second weekend of October, winds between the presentation of novels, show-cooking, dinners with the chefs and dinners with the writers, activities for children, field trials and selected tastings for a weekend full of appointments.
