As an ever-expanding tourism industry, the conference gives attendees a chance to meet with the major players, giving a unique insight into their specialisms. Hundreds of visitors from over 40 countries will attend the eighth edition, a jam-packed day of forums and workshops hosted by a diverse array of organisations. Attendees can learn about the burgeoning industry and get the lowdown on recent trends and future challenges. Most importantly, the conference provides an opportunity to mingle with an impressive group of representatives involved with health tourism from all over the world. 'Health tourism is extremely important for Croatia, it is one of our most prominent products with a long tradition and history and is among the tourist products that will be the focus of promotional activities of the Croatian Tourist Board. It is a global product that is growing at a rate of between 15 and 20 % each year and is an excellent addition to the rest of the tourist offer. Our ultimate goal is for Croatia to be recognized as a renown year-round destination for health tourism.', said Kristijan Staničić, General Manager at Croatian National Tourist Board. Collaborating with the Croatian Chamber of Economy, HTI will organise a series of 'How to do business with?' forums focusing on Russia and CIS countries, China and the Middle East. The latest partnership with ITB Berlin, one of the world's largest tourism fairs, opens up the networking potential of the conference. Supported by investment fund Princeton Healthcare, the educational side of the conference will span various investment opportunities through the use of health tourism funds. Panelists will discuss marketing tools, workforce, education and certification, changes in health insurance, growing corporate and medical wellness. This year's conference is sponsored by the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović with the support of other partners: EHTTA, Medical Tourism Association, ILHA, Deloitte, Bagatin Clinic, Akromion Special Hospital for Orthopaedic Surgery, Energy Clinic, M + Agency, Mercedes and Time Out Croatia as media partners
